3. Click on Setup to establish purge or suckback parameters.
The Suckback/Purge Control Parameters Window opens (Figure 4-75).

4.4.7.4.1 Purge Parameters
Click on
Purge During Fiducial Search to activate this feature.
Item Description
Purge Duration: The number of seconds the valve will purge.
Purge every__seconds: Activate this option to purge the valve at specified time intervals.
Purge every__fiducials:
Activate this option to purge the valve after a specified number of fiducial
searches.
Vacuum Shutoff Delay:
The amount of time (msec) the Purge Station vacuum remains ON after the
valve has shut off. Used with high viscosity fluids to remove any residual
fluid from the needle and prevent drooling.
Vacuum Pre-Shutoff
Time:
The amount of time (msec) the Purge Station vacuum turns OFF before the
valve has shut off. Used with low viscosity fluids to prevent removing fluid
from inside of the needle, thus increasing the time it takes to resume
dispensing.
4.4.7.4.2 Suckback Parameters

Suckback Duration: The number of seconds the valve motor will reverse to create the suckback.
