Command Description
Fiducial Options
If Fid Not Found
:
Skip Automatically skips any pattern containing fiducials that are not
found in a fiducial search during a production run.
Prompt Notifies the operator with a Fiducial Error message if the fiducial is
not found. The operator can then choose to manually locate the
fiducial, skip it and continue with the run, ignore the error and
continue with the run, or abort the run.
Pause After Search
: During the fiducial finding process, the system pauses
between finding each fiducial and displays an OK or a Fid Not Found message
during each pause.
Enable Z Positioning
: This feature is used only on dispensing systems that have
the camera mounted to the dispensing head (e.g., the camera moves up and
down with the dispensing valve). If checked, lets you establish different camera
heights for different fiducial searches. The Z height of the camera for each
fiducial is taught and saved when the program is created. When the program
runs, the camera moves to the same taught height before searching for the
fiducial.
Apply Camera Rotation Correction
: If checked, camera rotation angle
determined during the Vision Calibration procedure will be applied during FmXP
operation.
Turn Off Area Light during Fid Search
: NOT USED AT THIS TIME.
Suckback/Purge During Search
: This feature may be used for dispensing
programs that contain such a high number of fiducials that the fluid may begin to
drip from the needle tip during the fiducial search. Click on Setup to open the
Suckback/Purge Control Parameters window. Refer to Online Help for
instructions.
Skip Mark Options
Pause After Search
: If checked, the system will pause after each skip mark
search allowing the operator to see the status of each skip mark.
New Program
Defaults
Post Move Settling Time
: A delay once the dispensing head has moved to a
fiducial location before a fiducial search begins. It allows for any residual
movement to cease so an accurate search can be performed. The default value
is 50 milliseconds for M-2000 and Axiom X-1000 machines and 350 milliseconds
for Automove machines (Century Series, M-600 Series).
Use Pipeline Vision
: If checked, the Pipeline Vision feature is enabled, which
can greatly increase throughput during fiducial searches. If enabled, the fiducial
information (that is, the snap shot of the fiducial image) is processed while the
camera moves to the location of the next fiducial.
If Pipeline Vision is not used, FmXP waits at a fiducial location until it has
completely finished identifying the fiducial and calculating its location before
executing the next command.
Fid Search At Safe Z
: This feature is only available if Enable Z Positioning is
activated. Activating this feature moves the dispensing head to the safe Z height
between fiducial searches, ensuring that the camera does not collide with any
obstacles while moving around the dispensing area.
NOTE New Program Default options will be applied to all dispensing
programs created AFTER these options are established. To apply
these options to an existing program, you must open the program,
establish the options within the program, and then save it.
