4-60 System Configuration and Setup
Table 4-9 Valve Settings – DJ Series
Command Description
Valve On Time
The amount of time (in milliseconds) that the valve is ON when it
dispenses a dot.
Valve Off Time
The amount of time (in milliseconds) that the valve is OFF between
dispensing dots.
Purge Interval
The amount of time (in milliseconds) between each firing of the valve
during a purge. The number of times the valve fires during a purge
depends upon the Purge Duration (established in Setup Purge Station
from the Configuration Menu) and the Purge Interval (established
here)
CPJ Active Air
Pressure
The pressure at which air is expelled from the DJ-9000 valve's nozzle
during dispensing.
Active Nozzle Enable
Enables active air during a program run as well as during purge and
measure flow rate procedures. In this mode, the active air will
automatically turn off when not needed.
NOTE Active air is designed for use with the DJ Series
DispenseJet and the S-900 Series Dispensing Systems.
For more information, refer to the Active Air Jetting
System Owner’s Manual.
Active Nozzle
Continuous Air
The Active Nozzle Continuous Air option will keep the airflow on
continuously during idle and production times.
Enable Pre-Purge
Rotation
Pre-Purge Rotation is a feature designed to remove any excess fluid
from the jet nozzle before performing a purge. When the DJ-Series
valve moves to the purge station, it first lowers until the nozzle touches
the purge boot, then rotates the nozzle around the edge of the boot to
allow the vacuum to clean off any excess fluid before purging. Click
on the box to activate the feature.
# of Pre-Purge
Rotations
The number of pre-purge rotations performed before purging begins.
Pre-Purge Spacing
The size of the circle traveled during a pre-purge rotation. Generally,
the default value is sufficient.
Pre-Purge Delay
The amount of time (in milliseconds) that the jet will wait after the pre-
purge rotation is complete and before purging begins.
Change Default Fluid
Pressure Setting
This configures global fluid pressure behavior. With this checked, fluid
pressure will be turned on only if dispensing is needed, and will be off
the rest of the time.
Enable Limit
Checking
When selected, FmXP maintains a cumulative count of the number of
times the valve fires.
Current Cycle Count
The current number of times that the valve has fired since the count
was reset to zero.
Cycle Count Limit
The number of times since being reset that the valve can fire before
the operator is given the option to end execution of the current
program.
Reset When pressed, the valve's cumulative cycle count is reset to zero.
