Table 4-7 Strip Mapping Setup Options
Name Description
Enable Enables or disables the Strip Mapping feature.
Code Reader Mounted to
Dispenser
Select this option if the dispenser camera will be used to read the 2DID
mark or a dedicated 2DID optical scanner has been mounted to the
dispensing head.
Machine Camera
Select this option if the dispenser camera will be used to read the 2DID
mark.
Scanner
Select this option if a dedicated 2DID optical scanner has been
mounted to the dispensing head. Note: This option is not supported at
this time.
Settling Time
Settling time executed between the end of the move of the dispense
head to the 2DID location and the trigger of the 2DID read.
Number of Reads
The number of retry attempts the camera or scanner will make if a 2DID
mark read fail occurs.
Substrate ID Y-Offset
If the system fails to read a 2DID mark, the camera or scanner will
attempt to find the mark by moving this distance in both the positive and
negative Y directions.
Verify
If checked, the system will reject the 2DID mark if the number of
characters read are not equal to the number of characters specified in
the Verify field.
ID Search Effort Level
When the dispenser camera is used to read the 2DID marks, the 2DID
read algorithm provides multiple levels of "effort strength". If the 2DID
marks are difficult to read due to contrast or noisy images, increasing
the effort level can improve read success.
ID Matrix Size
When the dispenser camera is used to read the 2DID mark, there are
two possible selections for the matrix size: Automatic and 12x26. If set
to Automatic, the system will find any size 2DID matrix in the field of
view of the camera. If set to 12x26, the system will only accept a matrix
of size 12x26 cells. Any other size matrix will be rejected as a “no
read”.
Code Reader Mounted to
Conveyor
This option indicates that the 2DID scanner is fixed mounted and will
read the 2DID mark while the strip is loading into the dispenser. Note:
This option is not supported at this time.
