4.3.10.8 Pattern Library
The ability to store program patterns in a global pattern library allows multiple programs to access the
same patterns without having to duplicate the pattern in each program. Programs on multiple dispensing
systems can also access the same patterns if the library is stored on a network drive. The library also
ensures that any modifications to a pattern in the library will automatically be used by all programs that
reference that pattern.
To configure the Pattern Library, select
Configuration > Setup Runtime Preferences > Pattern Library
from the FmXP Main Menu. The window shown in Figure 4-45 opens.
Name Description
Name of Pattern Library This is the name of the library file. It cannot be changed.
Pattern Library
This is the current location of the library pattern file. Click on New Path
to select a new folder for the library pattern file. The location of the file
can be on any drive and in any folder accessible by the FmXP software.
New Path
A new (empty) library file will be created at the new location. To move
the current file library to a new location, you must use the Windows
Explorer feature (right click on Start and select Explore).
Ask before updating
existing patterns in the
Pattern Library
Select the checkbox when confirmation is required before updating the
pattern library. This will prevent accidental modification of the patterns
in the library.
