Command Description
Hardware
Vision System - Indicates the type of Vision System installed on your
dispensing system.
Video Mixer - Indicates the type of video processing card installed on your
computer system.
Calibrate - Opens a Teach Window in which you are prompted to perform a
step-by-step procedure for calibrating the number of pixels in the video
display to the number of X and Y motor steps it takes the Dispensing Head
to travel the equivalent distance.
Setup Reticles - Opens a Teach Window for setting up the parameters for
your reticles.
Version Info - Opens a dialog box indicating the version of the Vision
System hardware installed on your dispensing system.
Setup Light - Opens a dialog box in which you can select the type of light
source installed on your dispensing system.
Graphics Level – Select the quality of the graphics level.
General
Disable light and sound alarms - Disables visual and audible warnings
indicating that a fiducial is not found.
Use Antibacklash Move - Activates the Antibacklash feature. This feature is
available on Automove machines (Century Series, M-600 Series) only.
Antibacklash is a method for double-checking the Dispensing Head
position. When the Dispensing Head moves to a commanded position, the
Antibacklash feature causes it to back off a certain distance, check the
commanded position coordinates, and then move back into position. To
change Antibacklash parameters, select Setup Dispenser>Personality
Parameters from the Configuration menu.
Tolerances
Fid Location Tolerance - Defines a parameter for accepting or rejecting a
fiducial based on its actual position in relation to its expected position. If the
found fiducial is not within the tolerance parameter, the operator will receive
a Fiducial Error message. This feature can also be used to check for chip
placement accuracy.
Diagonal Distance Tolerance - Checks to see if the fiducials are as far apart
as they are expected to be. This prevents the Vision System from choosing
the wrong fiducial. Generally, 0.1 inch is sufficient, depending on chip
scribing accuracy and chip size variations.
Orthogonality Tolerance - This value is used with the Corner Finder method
of locating a fiducial. When a fiducial is found, FmNT checks the angle
between the two found edges to determine if the part is square. If the angle
is 90 degrees plus or minus the Orthogonality Tolerance, the part is
considered to be square and dispensing will be performed. If the angle is
outside of the Orthogonality Tolerance, FmNT issues a Fiducial Error
message.
