Table 7-1 Step and Repeat Options
Tab Item Description
Pattern Name
Enter the pattern name in this textbox. This will be the
pattern name of the Step and Repeat array.
Rows/Cols Enter the number of rows and columns.
Serpentine Enable
Activating the Serpentine Enable feature means that once
the Dispensing Head reaches the end of a row or column, it
will move to the adjacent position at the end of the next row
or column and continue dispensing, as opposed to going
back to the beginning of the next row or column.
Traverse Mode
Traverse Mode determines the path of the Dispensing Head
during actual dispensing.
By Row
The Dispensing Head will dispense one row (from left to
right or right to left), then the next row, etc.
Parameters
By Column
The Dispensing Head will dispense one column (from front
to back or back to front), then the next column, etc.
First Position
The First Position is the starting point or location of the
newly created pattern.
End of Row Offset
End of row offset is the last starting point or location along
the first row for the newly created pattern.
End of Col. Offset
End of column offset is the last starting point or location
along the first column for the newly created pattern.
Ends
Selecting Ends means that you will only teach the End of
column and End of row offsets.
Adjacent
Selecting Adjacent means that you will only teach the
Adjacent along row and Adjacent along column offsets.
FmNT will automatically calculate the locations of the
remaining positions.
Positions
Manual Pitch
Manual Pitch means that you will manually enter the
distance from the First Position to the Adjacent offset along
row and Adjacent offset along column locations.
Rotation
Rotate Pattern with
Step and Repeat
Frame
If both the row and column offset are skewed from the
workpiece angle, activating this feature uses row offset to
determine position rotation.
