1-6 Introduction
Advanced Heater Options
FmNT now supports the following heater options. See “Heater Controls” in the Tools section.
Dual Heater Control
FmNT can control two Anafaze heater controllers.
Idle Timer for Heaters
Each heater channel can be configured to automatically turn off after a pre-programmed amount of idle
time. Idle time is defined as: (1) no boards have arrived for the specified amount of time when in
production mode, or (2) no user input for the specified amount of time when not in production mode.
Pre-Heat Timer Verification
For in-line systems that use a pre-heat station, FmNT can verify that the proper pre-heat time has been
satisfied. This feature ensures that the pre-heat timer is properly set for the current production run.
Fast, Standard and Precision Selection
FmNT now allows the user to choose from three dispenser configuration modes:
1. Fast - highest throughput
2. Standard
3. Precision - highest accuracy
This feature is available on the M-2000 and X-1000 Dispensing Systems only. See “Dispenser Setup” in
the System Configuration and Setup section.
Graphic User Interface (GUI)
FmNT was designed to utilize the simplicity and intuitiveness of Windows-based software. It provides a
Graphic User Interface or GUI (usually pronounced GOO-ee) rather than a purely textual user interface to
the computer. GUI programs use icons, toolbars, taskbars, and other point and click functions.
Internationalization
FmNT is capable of supporting foreign languages. Default passwords are a simple carriage return to
support Internationalization. See “Language” in the System Configuration and Setup section.
Online Help
Like all true-Windows software packages, FmNT has a standard Online Help system accessible from all
menus and dialog boxes. Context-sensitive Help directs you to the help topic associated with the current
dialog box. The Online Help Topics include General Help for FmNT, Online Tutorials, and a list of all
Automove Control Language (ACL) commands.
