1 Introduction
Welcome to Fluidmove for Windows NT (FmNT). This manual is an instructional guide designed for
system operators, computer programmers, and process engineers. It provides a complete tour of the
Fluidmove software with detailed explanations of all features.
Overview
Asymtek supplies award-winning automated fluid dispensing systems to the semiconductor, surface
mount, electronics packaging, and industrial markets. Fluidmove for Windows NT is the third generation
dispensing software for Asymtek Fluid Dispensing Systems. Operating within the Windows NT
environment, FmNT offers several advancements in throughput, fluid management, and process control
for Asymtek’s Century, Millennium, and Axiom automated fluid dispensing systems. FmNT allows an
operator to accomplish basic production tasks, while providing application engineers a user-friendly
interface to develop programming routines for a variety of dispensing applications. FmNT provides users
with a system that facilitates the ease of operation at all levels.

Getting Started
In most cases, FmNT should arrive already installed and configured for your dispensing system. If you
should need to re-install FmNT, refer to the Installation section.
The tutorials in this manual are designed to teach you specific programming techniques. The first lessons
teach basic elements used to build more complex patterns. Advanced lessons teach you how to program
entire workpieces and add process commands.
Asymtek Tutorial Boards, supplied with your software, will be used for the dispensing exercises included
in this manual.
" NOTE This manual is intended for use with Fluidmove for Windows NT release 4.6
or higher.

Training
To optimize the full capabilities and features of your dispensing system, Asymtek recommends that
customer technicians, or engineers responsible for supporting the dispensing system and software
become certified.
