" NOTE Begin Flow Measurement and End Flow Measurement instructions are only
available if the flow meter option is installed in the fluid system and configured in Easy
Coat. The instruction buttons appear on the Conformal Coating tab.
Monitoring System Operation
• Be alert for the automatic alarm when flow irregularity is detected by the Easy Coat software.
• If you hear a continuous beep or see the red light flash from the Light Beacon, production has
been halted. See Responding to Light Beacon Alarm.
• If the FMS does not produce signal counts while the electrical function is operational, clean
the flow meter.
• When the flow rate through the flow meter is higher or lower than desired an alarm is
triggered. This stops the production. The flow rate must be adjusted to resume the
desired flow.
• Observe the digital readout in the Meter Reading window and proceed with the appropriate
Step as follows:
- If the amount of coating is below the lower limit, inspect the nozzle for blockage. Clean as
needed. If the nozzle is not blocked, increase pressure to the fluid reservoir for desired
flow.
- If the amount of coating is above the upper limit, reduce the fluid pressure to the fluid
reservoir to obtain the desired flow.
System Shutdown
Follow the shutdown procedures in C-740/C-741 Installation, Operations, and Maintenance Manual to
shutdown the dispensing system.
