Pressure Controller
The Pressure Controller offers two modes of operation--Automatic and Manual. The Controller’s keypad
is accessed in the Fan Width Enclosure by removing the clear front window. Software on the Controller is
factory installed. When the Pressure Controller is energized, there should be information on the display if
it is working properly. Fluid pressure is monitored on the front panel of the Fan Width Enclosure.
• If the pressure transducer fails to respond when in Manual or Automatic mode, then check
the wiring with the robot and the pressure transducer.
• If the pressure is changed in Manual mode, the new pressure will remain until the pressure
is changed again by the robot (in Automatic mode) or the user (in Manual mode).
• When power is removed from the Pressure Controller, the pressure should drop to 0.
• When the power to the Pressure Controller is restored, the pressure output should be the
same as the last value before power was removed.
Automatic Mode
Keypad input is ignored in Automatic mode except for the F1 key, which activates Manual mode.
Pressure output in Automatic mode is adjusted via digital signals from the Robot Controller.
See Figure 1-2.

Manual Mode
In Manual mode, the Pressure Controller recognizes commands only from the keypad, ignoring signals
from the Robot Controller. To operate the Pressure Controller in Manual mode, remove the clear front
window to reach the keypad. Pressure output in Manual mode is adjusted by pressing the Up, Down, Add,
or Del keys. Voltage output to the Pressure Controller is reported on the display. See Figure 1-2.

Up Small increase in pressure
Down Small decrease in pressure
Add Large increase in pressure
Del Large decrease in pressure
