9. Using the Up-Down arrow button, set the trigger value to 90 to 100 less than the “no
obstruction” value recorded in the “Testing Sensor and Amplifier Connections” procedure
above.
10. The next step is to test the spray pattern detection.
> If an APPLIC ON/OFF button is on the dispensing system front panel, use it to turn the
dispenser ON and OFF. Or you can click on
Utilities in the ECNT Edit Window, select
Pressure Adjust from the drop down menu, click on Select Coat and use the Pressure
Outputs box shown in Figure 3-3 to turn the applicator ON and OFF.
11. Move the dispenser in each direction in the x-axis and see if the amplifier Display switches
and holds when the pattern is between the Sensors.
> The red LED next to the bar graph will light when the amplifier triggers. See Figure 3-2.
?NOTE If the LED does not trigger consistently, increase the trigger level by 10 and
repeat steps 8 through 11 (i.e.: Now 80 to 90 below the “no obstruction” value.)
> If errors occur during running repeat steps 7 through 11.
?NOTE For Manual Mode operation, the clear front panel can remain detached.
