2 Installation
The DP-3000 Series Linear Dispensing Pump is designed for use on Asymtek Millennium, Century, and
Axiom Series dispensing systems. Using the pump requires special electronics and cabling. If you have
an earlier model that is not configured to accommodate a DP-3000, contact Asymtek to find out if an
upgrade kit is available for your dispenser.
The installation instructions in this section of the manual are intended for an initial installation on a
dispensing system previously not equipped with a DP-3000. If you are not installing a DP-3000 for the
first time, refer to the Operation section.
Installing the DP-3000
There are three different initial installation procedures for the DP-3000:
• Installing the DP-3000 with Quick Release Bracket on a Millennium or Century Series
Dispensing System.
• Installing the DP-3000 with Quick Release Bracket on an M-2000 Series and on an
Axiom X-1020 Series Dispensing System.
• Installing the DP-3000 with a standard bracket.
Choose the appropriate procedure based on your dispensing system and pump bracket configuration.
After the DP-3000 has been installed on your dispensing system, the software must be configured to
accommodate the new pump. Software configuration instructions are provided following the installation
procedures.
WARNING! This procedure should only be performed by a trained service technician.
