Feed Screw Jam Recovery
The piston has a working range between the Home position and the Purge position. If, for some reason, the
piston travels beyond this range, it can become lodged in the extreme up or down position. When this
happens, the motor stops and an error light comes on above the Valve 1/Valve 2 Speed Controls on the
Auxiliary Control Panel.
To recover from this error:
1. Reset the Dispensing System.
a. Perform the following steps to reset the Millennium M-600 and Century Series Dispensing
Systems:
1) Press Reset on the M-600 Dispenser Control Panel, or System Reset on the Century
Series Control Panel.
2) Press Reset on the M-600 Auxiliary Control Panel, or Valve Reset on the Century
Series Control Panel.
! If this fails to activate the motor, select Valve - DP2000/3000 Refill from the
Fluidmove Setup menu while holding down Reset.
! If this also fails to activate the motor, then the gears must be turned manually.
b. Perform the following steps to reset the Millennium M-2000 and Axiom X-1020 Series
Dispensing Systems:
1) In the Fluidmove Main Window, click on Tools>I/O Test>Dispenser.
2) Select the Output tab.
3) Click on Valve Reset.
2. Move the dispenser to the front of the dispensing area using the dispensing system controls.
3. Insert the manual feed screw knob into the hole in the gear cover as shown in Figure 5-1.
4. Manually turn the knob in the direction that dislodges the gears.
5. To determine the proper direction:
! If the piston is in the down position, the knob needs to be turned clockwise.
! If the piston is in the up position, the knob needs to be turned counter-clockwise.
6. Press Reset on the M-600 Auxiliary Control Panel, or Valve Reset on the Century Series
Control Panel.
