42 Maintenance
If necessary, refer to the figures in the Operation section for help locating parts when performing the
following procedures
To clean the DP-3000:
1. Disconnect the DP-3000 black pneumatic hose from the dispenser.
2. Disconnect the DP-3000 blue pneumatic hose from the dispenser.
3. Disconnect the syringe receiver head hose from the dispenser.
4. Disconnect the DP-3000 power cable from the dispenser.
5. Remove the DP-3000 from the dispensing system.
! For the quick-release bracket, rotate the orange locking lever up 180° and slide the pump up
and out of the dovetail receiver assembly.
! For the standard bracket, use the 5/64-inch hex key to loosen the set screws on the right
side of the valve bracket, and then slide the pump out of the valve bracket.
" NOTE If you have a second DP-3000, you can install the second pump and resume production
while the first pump is being cleaned.
6. Unscrew and remove the syringe or fluid cartridge from the Luer adapter.
7. Remove and save the syringe receiver head. Discard the syringe according to the material
disposal guidelines in the Material Safety Data Sheet.
8. Open the swinging bracket by lifting up on the (red) bracket latch.
9. Flip the stopcock lever (yellow) forward to release the stopcock.
10. Flip the chamber retention lever (green) up 90° so that it is horizontal.
11. Press down on the sliding bracket, and slide the carriage down.
! The blue detent lever should lock the carriage securely in the down position.
12. Remove and discard the dispensing needle, Luer adapter, and stopcock.
13. Slide the chamber retention slide from left to right, releasing the pumping chamber.
! Retracting the piston will make chamber removal easier. You can use the upper knob to
retract the piston. See Figure 4-1.

14. Pull down on the pumping chamber and remove it from the chamber retention bracket.
15. Wipe off the piston with a soft cloth and mild solvent or IPA.
16. Unscrew the priming chamber and lift it off of the top of the pumping chamber.
17. Use the scribe to remove all of the seals and O-rings from the priming and pumping chambers.
See Figure 4-2 or Figure 4-3, depending on the type of pumping chamber.
