To install the stopcock/needle assembly into the pump:

1. Assemble the stopcock and needle assembly and insert it into the Luer clamp block as shown

in Figure 3-29.

2. Flip the yellow Luer clamp block lever down in the direction shown in Figure 3-30.

! The stopcock/needle assembly should now be held firmly in place.

3. Pull the blue sliding bracket detent lever toward you, withdrawing the rod from the detent.

! This frees the sliding bracket.

4. Move the sliding bracket upward until the stopcock taper meets the pump taper.

5. Rotate the green lock lever down.

! This raises the carriage and locks it in place, forcing the stopcock taper up against the

pump taper to create intimate contact and a good seal.
