2 Introduction
The DP-3000 introduces several key features, which enhance its performance over other commonly
used pumps.
• Levers replace many separate tools for fast, clean disassembly and reassembly.
• A “Quick Release” bracket makes removing the DP-3000 for cleaning quick and easy, with no
tools required.
• Very fast priming with minimal material waste.
• Specially designed priming/pumping chambers for less fluid waste during priming; fewer
trapped air bubbles mean fewer priming sequences.
• Two-part, detachable pumping/priming chamber allows fast, efficient cleaning.
• Pump finish resists adhesion of fluids, facilitating ease of cleaning.
• Removable piston control knob allows control and determination of piston location for easy
cleaning or repositioning when at rest.
• Specially designed pumping chamber and assembly provide airtight seal which will not
loosen due to dispensing system vibrations.
• Constructed of light materials that provide minimal stress on dispensing head, easy
installation and handling.
• Unique design encases wiring and electronics within the pump structure, affording protection
from dispensing fluids.
• True, positive displacement dispensing, independent of fluid viscosity, supply pressure,
needle size, or fluid/pump temperature.
• High level of accuracy for consistent dispensing with multiple shot sizes:
- >1% at 3 sigma for a 1-inch line, dispensing 300 mg shots from an
encoder-controlled model.
- <1.5% at 3 sigma for a 1-inch line, dispensing 30 mg shots from an
encoder-controlled model.
- <2.5% at 3 sigma for a 1-inch line, dispensing 30 mg shots from a back
EMF controlled model.
• Pneumatics configuration allows independent control of pressure to fluid reservoir for very
low viscosity fluids (special upgrade required).
• Encoded motor for accurate, consistent dispensing through a broad range of speeds,
including very fast refill for high throughput.
