into the stopcock

While holding the
needle still, twist the
plastic Luer lock ring
in the direction shown
Position the needle so that
the flat flange (with the gauge
marking) is parallel to the
stopcock crossbar
Note: A needle with Luer threads
can be positioned in any
direction
Insert the needle
into the stopcock
Luer lock ring
Rotate needle
slightly to get the
threads started
Twist the Luer lock
ring to secure the
needle
Note: Twisting the Luer
lock ring instead of
the needle results
in a tighter fit.
