Installation Verification Test
After you have installed the DP-3000 on your dispensing system, it is recommended that you perform an
Installation Verification test to ensure that the DP-3000 is accepting and properly responding to software
commands by moving the piston appropriately.
" NOTE It is recommended that you perform this test without a fluid syringe installed to allow an
unobstructed view of the piston movement.
1. Turn the dispensing system ON.
! Refer to the instructions in the dispensing system Operations Manual if necessary.
! The DP-3000 will execute an initialization procedure. The indicator LEDs will light in a
short sequence. The motor will also run momentarily.
2. Start Fluidmove.
3. Adjust the dispensing system valve pressure to 50 psi.
! For the encoded version, adjust the fluid pressure to 50 psi instead of the valve pressure.
Refer to the instructions in the dispensing system Operations Manual if necessary.
4. Execute a purge command by clicking on Run a Program, then clicking on Setup and
selecting Purge Needle. See Figure 2-10.
! The DP-3000 motor should turn on, moving the piston and changing the status of the
Indicator LEDs.
5. Click on Setup again, then select Valve - DP2000/3000 Refill.
! The pump should behave similarly to Step 4. If this does not occur, refer to the
Troubleshooting section.
