1 Introduction
Congratulations on your choice of the DispenseMate
®
550 Series Dispensing System! This manual is
intended primarily as a reference for production operators. However, process engineers and service
technicians unfamiliar with Asymtek products may also find this manual useful as a general introduction
to the system. This section introduces the DispenseMate 550 Series Dispensing System and describes
system configuration, lists the standard and optional features, illustrates component location, and explains
the function of the components on the DispenseMate 550 Series Dispensing System. This section covers

Overview
The DispenseMate 550 Series brings new dispensing power to a compact package. Many of today’s
advanced automated dispensing features are now available in a bench top format. The DispenseMate 550
platform utilizes the same dispense control technology as some of Asymtek’s most advanced dispensing
systems. Two models of the DispenseMate 550 Series are available with different dispensing areas. Refer
to the Specifications section for additional information.

DispenseMate 553 325 x 325 mm, or 12.8 x 12.8 in
DispenseMate 555 525 x 525 mm, or 20.7 x 20.7 in.
The system utilizes Asymtek’s Fluidmove
®
for Windows NT (FmNT) software, the same industry-proven
software package used on all Asymtek dispensing systems. FmNT and DispenseMate’s flexible
architecture makes it easy for customers to upgrade as needed, and provides the portability to develop
programs offline that can be transferred to other sites or moved to inline systems. CAD Import software
and Automatic Pattern Recognition are also available.
