Safety First
Please refer to the Safety section of this manual and the Safety section of the applicable Dispensing System
Manual before using the DJ-2100 Series DispenseJet. Adhering to the precautions provides for a safer and
more efficient use of the DispenseJet.
Model Differences
The DJ-2100 Series DispenseJet has three models based on the dispensed dot-size. See Table 1-1. Dot
size refers to the dot dimensions required to adhere component sizes per Surface Mount Equipment
Manufacturers Association 7.0 Specifications. For example, “0603” means that the dot is the required size to
adhere a component that is 0.06-inch x 0.03-inch.
Table 1-1 DJ-2100 Series Models and Dot Size Configuration
Application Model Extension Seat Size Dot-size Range
SMA*
DJ-2111 0.015 0402 dots and larger
DJ-2112 0.030 0603 dots and larger
DJ-2114 0.060 1206 dots and larger
* SMA is the primary application. The DJ-2100 Series can be used for other SMT applications.
DispenseJet Description
The DJ-2100 Series DispenseJet is a non-contact dispenser used primarily for Surface Mount Adhesive
(SMA) dot applications but may also be used for Die Attach and Conductive Adhesive applications. Non-
contact jet dispensing eliminates the need for Z-axis motion during the dispense cycle, which increases fluid
application speed and accuracy. Dispensing parameters can be changed using computer-programmed
patterns. Nordson ASYMTEK’s Fluidmove software provides a jet-on-the-fly capability where a series of dots
can be dispensed without stopping at each dot position.
