Conveyor Maintenance
Routine conveyor maintenance is essential for maximum system performance. You should
perform the following basic procedures on a regular basis to prevent any conveyor-related
problems. These procedures may be performed by either an operator or a service
technician. See Figure 7-3 for part locations.
WARNING!
Be sure to shut down the dispensing system before performing the
following maintenance procedures.
WARNING!
Before using an airgun to clean the sensors or remove debris from the
machine, be sure you and everyone else in the room is wearing safety
glasses.

Instructions
1. Check conveyor rails Daily
Using an air gun or air-blowing hose
attachment, blow any dust or debris away from
the conveyor rails.
Verify that the width between the conveyor rails
are at the desired width. Manually adjust as
needed.
2. Check conveyor belts Daily
Visually inspect the conveyor belts for cracks or
splits. Notify a service technician immediately if
you notice any damage to the belts. Do not use
the system if the conveyor belts are damaged.
3. Clean part sensors Monthly
Using an airgun, blow the debris away from the
sensors, or wipe off the sensors with a clean,
soft cloth (see Figure 7-3).
