Safety 3-7
Light Beacon
Located at the top right corner of the system, the Light Beacon is a visual warning device
that indicates different Interlock status conditions by turning on a different colored light for
each condition. See Table 4-6 for an explanation of each color condition. The colors
displayed on the Light Beacon match the colors displayed on the
DISPENSER STATUS
LED’s on the Control Panel of the Century Series System.
Safety Interlock Door Sensors
The Safety Interlock Doors Sensors on Century Series systems detect the door status (open
or closed). Depending on the Safety Interlock mode, access for certain operations is limited
as the door sensors activate the Safety Interlock system. A key-activated switch operates
the Safety Interlock system. You can remove the key to prevent an inadvertent mode
change.
On some systems the Light Curtain option replaces the doors and connects to the Safety
Interlock sensors. When an object crosses the Light Curtain, the sensors detect it. For more
information on the light curtain, see Light Curtain in Section 4-Operation.
Safety Interlock Recovery Light
The Safety Interlock Recovery Light is located on the Control Panel to the left of the
DISPENSER STATUS LED’s (see Table 4-5: Dispensing Status Control Functions and
Table 4-6: Panel / Beacon Colors, Dispensing Status and Recovery Procedures). When the
light is ON, you can safely access the inside of the dispensing area. When the light is OFF,
accessing the inside of the dispensing area will cause a non-recoverable interlock condition
to occur. This means that the motor power turns OFF, the system loses master references,
and the red “abort” Status LED will light.
To recover from a shutdown triggered by the interlock:
1. Close the doors or remove obstruction from Light Curtain (if installed).
2. On the Control Panel:
a. Press
DISPENSER STATUS RESET.
Wait three seconds.
b. Press
FIND HOME.
3. In Fluidmove, click on the
GO button.
