Startup/Shutdown 5-5
Production Shutdown (End of Shift) or Service Shutdown
Depending on your company’s requirements, your Century system may be left ON or OFF at
the end of a shift. However, we recommend that you incorporate the following procedure
into your production shutdown routine.
To shut down at the end of a production shift:
1. Wait for the dispensing program to complete.
2. Purge the fluid pump.

3. Exit FMW.
4. Press OFF (O) Stop button on the Control Panel.
5. Verify that all motion has stopped.
WARNING!
Be careful when reaching into the dispensing area. The Vacuum
Heated Tooling Plate and the Needle Heater may still be hot.
6. Remove workpieces from the dispensing area.
7. Remove the syringe from the dispensing head.

8. Clean the fluid pump.

To shut down for service:
9. Turn OFF (O) the Main Power Circuit Breaker at the rear of the system.
10. Disconnect Main Power Cable.
11. Lock Main Power Cable in lock box (lockout/tagout).
