Needle Heater 12-1
12 Needle Heater
Overview
The Needle Heater consists of a temperature controller and a heating element that attaches
to the dispensing needle. The heating element is selected for compatibility with your valve
or fluid pump (see Table 12-1). On M-2000 and Millennium Series dispensing systems
equipped with heaters, the temperature controller is an integrated feature. The heating
element plugs into outlets on the dispensing head and the temperature is controlled through
the Fluidmove software. On most Century Series dispensing systems, the temperature
controller is a separate, non-integrated feature (see Figure 12-4).
Your service technician installs the Needle Heater as part of the dispensing system
installation or during an upgrade. This section describes the function and operation of the
Needle Heater.

WARNING!
CAUTION!
The Needle Heater and all heating elements should be installed by a
service technician. If the dispensing system needs to be moved, the
Needle Heater should be disconnected. Refer all major adjustments to
a service technician and see the service manual for your particular
dispensing system for further assistance.
Major components of an HT-04’s heating element are shown on in Figure 12-1. Figure
12-2 shows an HT-06, and Figure 12-3 shows an HT-10. The temperature controller is
shown in Figure 12-4 and Figure 12-5.
