Safety Interlock Switch
The Safety Interlock Switch is located on the Control Panel (see Section 3 Component Description ). It is
designed to restrict access to the inside of the dispensing system, based on user-defined levels of operation.
The Safety Interlock has two modes: ON (l) or OFF (0). Once an Interlock safety mode is selected, the key
can be removed to prevent an inadvertent mode change. The Safety Interlock is designed to work with either
the Door Sensors or with the Light Curtain.
CAUTION! Do NOT use the Interlock OFF mode during normal operation. Use OFF mode only
when servicing or programming the dispensing system.

Item Name Description
1
OFF
(O)
When OFF, the interlock is in bypass mode. In bypass mode, opening the
front doors WILL NOT stop Dispensing Head motion. Bypass mode should
only be used for servicing or programming the dispensing system. This
condition is indicated by a yellow System Status Indicator LED on the
Control Panel and a yellow light on the Light Beacon (see Figure 2-3).
2
ON
( I )
When ON and a dispensing program is running, opening the front doors
stops all dispensing motion and all position references are lost. This
condition is indicated by a red System Status Indicator LED on the Control
Panel and a red light on the Light Beacon (see Figure 2-3).
