Minor Troubleshooting

Symptom Check Correction
1. Probe does not drop
Check probe function:
Push the probe up with
your finger
.
If the green LED light
on the side does not go
ON, the probe is not
working.
•
Perform a Calculate
Master Offsets in FMW
or a Height Sensor
Setup in FMDOS.
•
Check to see if the LED
is working by pushing
the probe tip up.
•
Check if HS phone jack
is connected to the
dispensing head.
•
Call a service technician.
2. Needle hits substrate
Check if probe tip is lower
than the needle tip.
•
Perform a Calculate
Master Offsets in FMW
or Height Sensor Setup
in FMDOS.
•
Call a service technician.
3. Probe drags through the
fluid
Check if probe is in front of
the needle path.
Check your Fluidmove
program to ensure probe tip
will not move beyond the
workpiece edge or into a
hole by issuing GU and GD
commands in the Terminal
Mode Window.
To check probe function:
Push the probe up with
your finge

If the green LED light
on the front does not go

Perform a Calculate
Master Offsets in FMW
or a Height Sensor
Setup in FMDOS.
•
Place the probe behind
and to the right of the
needle.
•
Begin a dispense path at
the front left corner of
the workpiece, moving
toward the back of the
workpiece.
•
Call a service technician.
