Height Sensor 10-13
To adjust the Z-Axis velocity and acceleration:
The Z-Axis velocity and acceleration control the speed and acceleration of the lowering and
raising of the dispensing head during a height sense measurement. Adjusting the Z-Axis
velocity and acceleration can improve throughput by decreasing the amount of time it takes
to make a height sense measurement.
In FMW:
1.
In the FMW Main Window, click on .
2.
Select .
The Height Sensor Setup dialog box opens.
3.
Set the Z-Axis velocity and acceleration values in this dialog box.
4.
Consult On-line Help for assistance.
A high acceleration value (300 in/sec
2
for example) and a slow velocity
(1.00 in/sec) produce the most accurate height sensing measurements.
Accelerations above 375 in/sec
2
and velocities above 6.00 in/sec can
result in large repeatability errors. See “HS-Series RTA
Specifications” on page 10-16 for more information.
In FMDOS:
1.
Select from the Main Program menu.
2.
Choose from the drop down menu.
3.
Set the values in this dialog box.
Accelerations above 375 in/sec
2
and velocities above 6.00 in/sec can
result in large repeatability errors. See “HS-Series RTA
Specifications” on page 10-16 for more information.
