Non-Recoverable Interlock Condition:
You must completely exit the dispensing
software program, re-start the dispensing
software and re-open the program to
continue.
Offset Camera:
Camera that uses crosshairs
in the Vision System to locate XYZ
locations.
Operator:
A person running pre-
programmed dispensing systems and
performs routine maintenance.
Opto-Coupled:
An electrical device that
uses light to send information.
Outputs:
Electrical signals to control
devices that must turn On and Off on
command.
Photodiode Array Pair:
Optical sensors
(Sender and Receiver) that stop machine
motion when light beam is interrupted.
Port:
Any machine connection that allows
for the exchange of electrical signals.
Psi:
Pressure measured in pounds per square
inch (lbs/in

).
Serial Port:
PC port designed to
communicate between the PC and another
device.
Substrate:
Any surface, part or element
used for dispensing.
Syringe:
Container holding dispensing fluid,
(under air pressure) installed onto the
dispensing valve body.
Terminal Mode Window:
A window or
screen that allows you to type commands for
a particular device, such as: Dispenser,
Conveyor, Scale, etc.
Teach:
Entering and saving XYZ locations.
Valve:
A device used to control the flow of
fluid on dispensing systems.
Workpieces:
A dispensing target.
X-axis:
Left to right movement of the
dispense head in the dispensing area.
X/Y-axis:
Two axes at right angles to each
other.
Y-axis:
Forward and backward movement
of the dispense head in the dispensing area.
Z-axis:
Up and down movement of the
dispense head in the dispensing area.
