Vacuum Control
In order for the vacuum to function properly, the facility air supplied to the Century Series
system should be set to 600 kPa (87 psi). The vacuum generator is not user adjustable, the
facility air should be set to the above pressure for optimum usage.
To start the vacuum, use the Vacuum Activation Switch located on the front right side of the
dispensing area (see Figure 13-3).
Heating Plate Temperature Control
The temperature is controlled by the HT-2000 Controller (see Figure 13-4). Programming
the HT-2000 is described below.
The temperature controllers have a digital display, control buttons and one power switch on
the front panel (see Figure 13-4). The Process Value (PV) indicates the actual temperature of
the Heating Element. The Set Value (SV) indicates your desired temperature.
The following procedures describe how to operate the Temperature Controller, set the
temperature and adjust the display for the type of units.
To turn the Temperature Controller ON:
1.
Turn the dispensing system ON.
2.
Press the switch on the Temperature Controller front panel
ON

To turn only the Temperature Controller OFF:
1.
Press the switch on the Temperature Controller
OFF

To set the hot plate temperature:
1.
Press
INDEX
on the Temperature Controller until you see Set Point 1 (
$!)
.
Use
▲▼
to adjust the temperature in the Set Value (
)
display to the desired
value.
2.
When you reach the desired value, press
ENTER
.
3.
Press
INDEX
to record the value and return to the main display.
