Powering Up the Dispensing System
CAUTION! The following procedure should only be performed by a trained
service technician.
If any irregularity occurs during power-up, shut down the system and resolve the
problem. If necessary, refer to the Troubleshooting section of this manual.
To power up the dispensing system:
?NOTE If necessary, refer to the Introduction and Operation sections of the Axiom X-1000 Series
Operations Manual for help identifying system components.
1. Close the dispensing system Hatch.
2. Switch the Main Circuit Breaker to the
ON (I) position. See Figure 5-2.
3. Check the EMO Switches on the front and rear of the dispensing system to see if they have
been activated. If an EMO is activated, turn the red knob counterclockwise until it pops out.
4. In the Front Cabinet, turn the Computer power switch
ON (I).
> The green power LED on the front of the Computer should illuminate.
> The Computer should go into the boot sequence. If the Computer does not start, check
Computer power cord connection to an unswitched outlet on the Power Manager and
dispensing system connection to the facility power source.
5. Turn the power switch on the back of the Monitor to
ON (I).
> The green power LED on the front of the Monitor should illuminate.
6. Press the green
ON (l) button on the Operator’s Console.
> The ON button should illuminate.
7. When the Computer prompts you to select the operating system, select the current version of
Windows NT Workstation.
> The operating system should start.
8. At the Computer prompt, press [Ctrl+Alt+Delete] on the Keyboard.
9. When the logon box appears, key in [Administrator], leave the password blank, and press
[Enter] on the Keyboard.
10. When the Windows NT desktop appears, double-click on the
FmNT icon .
> If FmNT does not start, or you receive error messages during start-up, note the error and
contact Asymtek Technical Support.
11. When prompted by FmNT, click on
OK to send the Dispensing Head to the Home position.
> The Dispensing Head should move to the front left corner of the dispensing chamber.
