3-2 Uncrating and Placing
Uncrating, Placing, and Unpacking the Dispensing System
CAUTION! The following procedures should only be performed by a trained
service technician.
Tools and Materials Needed
• 3-mm Hex Key • Hammer
• 6-mm Hex Key • Flat bar
• 6-mm (1/4-inch) Wrench • Work gloves
• Two 9/16-inch Open End Wrenches • Safety glasses
• 1 1/2-inch Open End Wrench • Forklift
• Diagonal-cut Pliers • Pen
• Small A-frame Ladder
Uncrating the Dispensing System
To uncrate the dispensing system:
1. Check the “Tip & Tell” and “Shockwatch” devices, both on the outside of the shipping crate
and on the dispensing system, to make sure that the dispensing system has not been dropped
or tipped. If any of these devices has been activated, contact Asymtek Technical Support.
2. Locate and remove the envelope on the outside of the shipping crate. Open the envelope
and locate the shipping list and uncrating instructions inside. Place the shipping list in a
safe location.
3. Referring to the uncrating instruction sheet, use the flat bar and hammer to remove the lid and
sides of the crate.
WARNING! CAUTION!
Personnel should wear gloves and safety glasses while removing the top and
sides of the crate. Sufficient personnel should be used to lift and control the crate
top and sides to prevent serious injury to personnel or damage to the dispensing
system. Refer to “Lifting Precautions” in the Safety section of this manual.
4. Remove the two 9/16-inch hex head screws in each of the four machine-to-crate shipping
brackets. See Figure 3-1.
5. Remove the two 1/2-inch (13-mm) hex head screws clamping the four Foot Restraint
Brackets onto the Levelers.
