Replacing Computer Cards
If fault isolation procedures in the Troubleshooting section of this manual have confirmed that there is a
faulty Card in the Computer, replace it using one of the following procedures, as applicable:
• PMAC Card
• Image Capture Card or Video Card
CAUTION! This procedure should only be performed by a trained service technician.
Tools and Materials Needed
• ESD Grounding Strap • Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Torque Wrench • PMAC Card (P/N 07-0735-01)
• Image Capture Card (P/N 59-0018) • Video Card (P/N 194702)
? NOTE Before any of the Computer cards can be removed, the Computer must be removed from
inside of the Lower Front Cabinet of the dispensing system. Refer to “Computer Removal
and Installation” earlier in this section.
PMAC Card
Use the following procedure to remove and replace the PMAC Card if fault isolation procedures in the
Troubleshooting section of this manual have confirmed that it has failed.
To remove the PMAC Card:
CAUTION! ESD precautions must be taken while handling the PMAC Card or severe
damage from electrostatic discharge may occur.
? NOTE All components and fasteners removed during this procedure should be retained in an
orderly manner and in a safe location for reinstallation or shipment back to Asymtek.
1. Perform a Service Shutdown as specified in the Safety section of this manual.
2. Remove the Computer from inside the Lower Front Cabinet as specified in “Computer
Removal and Installation” earlier in this section.
3. Lay the Computer down on its right side. Unscrew the two captive, slotted thumbscrews on
the left side of the Computer and open the Main Interface Panel. See Figure 10-17.
4. Unscrew the slotted thumbscrew on top of the Hold Down Bar and remove the bar.
5. Locate the PMAC Card.
> The PMAC Card is located in Slot Number 1. See Figure 10-18.
