10-6 Parts Replacement
Board Mounted Fuses
These glass fuses are mounted in holders on the Computer Main Interface PWA and on the Conveyor
Controller Power Supply PWA. The fuses protect the components from damage caused by electrical
overloads. See Figure 10-2.
CAUTION! Always replace fuses with fuses of identical rating and size. Failure to do so may
not protect components from damage.
To remove and replace a board-mounted fuse:
CAUTION! This procedure should only be performed by a trained service technician.
1. Perform a Service Shutdown as specified in the Safety section of this manual.
2. Open the access door and locate the fuse to be replaced.
> Open the Conveyor Controller Door by turning the four captive Phillips head fasteners
1/4-turn.
> Open the Computer Door by unscrewing the two captive, slotted thumbscrews.
CAUTION! The circuit board and its components are susceptible to damage by electrostatic
discharge. Observe all ESD protection protocols while performing this procedure.
3. Remove and discard the burned fuse. See Figure 10-2.
4. Verify that you will be installing the correct replacement fuse and then insert the new fuse
into the Fuse Holder.
5. Close the access door.
6. Perform a Post-Service Start-up as specified in the Safety section of this manual.
