5. If the cover is dirty with dispensed fluid, clean it with the MSDS recommended solvent and a
soft cloth.
6. Obtain a new boot. See Table 9-2 for compatibility information.
> If using a needle, the inside diameter of the purge boot should be compatible with the
outside diameter of the needle.
7. Insert the new boot, narrow end first, into the top of the cover.
8. Push the boot downward through the hole in the cover until it starts to emerge from
the bottom.
9. Grip the bottom of the boot with fingers or pliers and pull gently through the hole until it is
fully seated. Slight scoring on the bottom end of the boot is acceptable, but the top of the boot
must be undamaged.
10. Reinstall the cover onto the Purge Station.
11. Close the dispensing system Hatch.
12. If you paused a dispensing program to perform purge boot replacement, click on
Go in the
FmNT Run Window to resume the program.
