Needle Sensor Verification
1. Inspect the Needle Sensor Cable (P/N 06-4599-00) for damage and secure connection to the
Calibrated Service Station and the Main Interface PWA.
2. Is the Cable damaged?
Ensure Cable is securely connected and then go to
Step 3.
Needle Sensor Cable (P/N 06-4599-00) has failed. See
Parts
Replacement
section.
3. In the FmNT Main Window, click on Tools.
4. In the Tools Window, click on
I/O Test and then click on the Dispenser button.
5. In the I/O Test Dialog Window, click on the
PIO 96 Channels 10-13 tab.
6. Under the Channel 12 section of the window, locate the
TACTILE_SENSE [4B4] signal.
WARNING! CAUTION!
Use caution when reaching your hand into the dispensing area while system is
under power. Failure to take appropriate precautions could result in personal
injury or property damage.
7. Block the light beams inside the Needle Sensor channels.
8. Does the input for TACTILE_SENSE/ [4B4] change from high (1) to low (0)?
Go to Step 9
Go to Step 20
9. Locate U15 on the Main Interface PWA.
10. Measure VDC between Pin 15 and Pin 16 on U15 while toggling the Needle Sensor.
11. Does the signal change from 5 VDC to 0 VDC?
Go to Step 12
Main Interface PWA (P/N 60-1200-00) has failed. See
