8-66 Troubleshooting

16. Is the difference of any set of values greater than 200 counts?

Stop here. X-axis Linear Encoder is not root cause

of the fault. Go to Y-axis Linear Encoder

Verification in this subsection.

Stop here. Linear Encoder is root cause of following error fault. Contact

Asymtek Technical Support to verify fault.

17. Remove the Servo Shelf Cover.

18. Verify that the Cable of the X-axis Linear Encoder (P/N 194985) is securely connected to the

XY Servo Interface PWA (P/N 60-1211-00) at J23. The X-axis Linear Encoder Connector should be

on the top.

19. Is the Cable properly connected?

Securely connect Cable to its proper location and

go back to Step 5.

Go to Step 20

20. Disconnect X-axis Linear Encoder Cable from J23 on XY Servo Interface PWA.

21. Check continuity of X-axis Linear Encoder Cable as specified in Table 8-22.

22. Does the Cable have continuity between the pins specified in Table 8-22?

Cable of Linear Encoder (P/N 194985) has failed.
