8-62 Troubleshooting
17. Is the difference of any set of values greater than 200 counts?
Z-axis Rotary Encoder is not root cause of the
following error fault. Go to Step 9 in “PMAC Fatal
Following Error Verification” in 8.2.1, PMAC
Initialization Fault Isolation Procedure.
Stop here. Rotary Encoder is root cause of following error fault. Contact
Asymtek Technical Support to verify fault.
18. Remove the Servo Shelf Cover.
19. Check continuity of Z-Head Interconnect Cable (P/N 06-4550-00.) Pinout is 1 to 1.
20. Does the Z-Head Interconnect Cable have continuity?
Z-Head Interconnect Cable (P/N 06-4550-00) has
failed. See
Parts Replacement section.
Go to Step 21
21. Check continuity of signal routing from the Z-axis Rotary Encoder as specified in Table 8-21.
