Dispensing System Corrections
Correcting failed system components, or functions to restore operation includes the following:
• If the fault isolation points to a damaged part or component, the remedy consists of replacing
the failed item. Parts replacement, exchanges, and warranty information can be found in the
Parts Replacement section of this manual.
• If the fault isolation points to a failed function of a component that is not damaged, the
remedy consists of adjustment or calibration. Procedures for adjustment and calibration can
be found in the Calibration and Adjustment section of this manual.
System Start-up and Shutdown
Troubleshooting procedures usually require that the system be turned ON and OFF. In some cases, the
operational temperatures must be reached or the system must cool down before troubleshooting can
begin. System start-up and shutdown should be performed in accordance with the Safety section of
this manual.
Understanding the Procedures
To understand the procedures, the technician should be familiar with system nomenclature and able to
identify and locate parts on the dispensing system. You may want to refer to the many illustrations found
throughout this manual and the X-1000 Series Operations Manual. The technician should also know how
to remove service panels and open doors to gain access to parts. Refer to “Gaining Access” in the Parts
Replacement section of this manual.
