Planning
Fault diagnosis may vary from easy and obvious to advanced and time-consuming. Procedures may
require several system power-up and power-down cycles. Each cycle may require the system to reach
operating temperature and be allowed to cool down. Planning of scheduled maintenance is essential to
minimize the need for unscheduled downtime.
? NOTE To facilitate references to engineering drawings, some nomenclature in this section is
derived from the engineering drawings which may differ from the nomenclature used
elsewhere in this manual.
TIP Have the listed tools, materials, and electrical diagrams on hand before you start. Review
electrical paths and identify referenced part numbers using the Appendixes at the end of
this manual. Follow the steps in the Parts Replacement section of this manual to correctly
order replacement parts.
