Component Function Component Function
PIO-96-J
Card
Sends signal for Height Sensor Probe to
arm (lower).
PMAC
Card
Commands Z Servo Motor to lower the
Z Carriage.
Main
Interface
PWA
Relays Probe arming signal to XY Servo
Interface PWA.
Main
Interface
PWA
Relays PMAC signals to the XY Servo
Interface PWA.
XY Servo
Interface
PWA
Relays Probe arming signal to the
Dispense Head Controller PWA
XY Servo
Interface
PWA
Relays PMAC signals to the Z Servo
Interface PWA.
Dispense
Head
Controller
PWA
Relays Probe arming signal to Height
Sensor.
Z Servo
Interface
PWA
Relays PMAC signals to the Z Servo
Amplifier.
Z Servo
Amplifier
1. Receives low-voltage motor
direction and power signals from
PMAC.
2. Amplifies PMAC signals to high
power level to move the Z Servo
Motor.
3. Receives and interprets Z Hall
Sensor feedback indicating Z Servo
Motor direction.
4. Regulates power to Z Servo Motor
windings causing motor to move in
the desired direction.
Z Servo
Motor
1. Receives power from the Z Servo
Amplifier.
2. Turns the drive gear (pinion) to
lower the Z Carriage.
OCCURS SEQUENTIALLY
Component Function
Height Sensor
1. Arms (lowers) the Probe.
2. Probe contacts the workpiece
3. Position capture input signal is sent to PMAC.
Dispense Head Controller PWA
Relays height sense touch input to XY Servo
Interface PWA.
XY Servo Interface PWA
Relays height sense touch input to Main Interface PWA.
Main Interface PWA
Relays height sense touch input to PMAC Card.
