1.4 Training
In order to optimize the full capabilities and features of your dispensing system, Asymtek recommends
certification for all operators, technicians, and engineers using, programming, and servicing the
dispensing system. Asymtek offers several levels of training courses to enable customer operators,
technicians, and engineers to become fully certified in dispensing system safety, operation, hardware,
software, and fluid applications. For training courses and certification information, contact Asymtek.
1.5 System Configuration
X-1000 Series Dispensing Systems are designed primarily for surface mount adhesive (SMA), solder
paste (SP), advanced semiconductor package assembly (ASPA), and printed circuit board assembly
(PCBA) applications. However, because of its modular design, this versatile platform can easily be
configured for other applications. Your dispensing system was configured at the Asymtek factory for your
specific application prior to shipping.
Table 1-1 summarizes the features, capabilities, and available options of the X-1000 Series Dispensing
System models covered by this manual. Refer to Section 3 – Component Description for more
information.
