5-12 Troubleshooting
5.5.7 Heater Tooling
Table 5-9 describes some minor problems related to Heater Tooling operation, offers possible causes,
and suggests some recovery procedures. Refer to 3.12.2 Heater Tooling for additional information.
Table 5-9 Heater Tooling Troubleshooting
Symptom Possible Cause Recovery
1. Heaters do not turn on. A. EMO button has been
activated.
1. Turn the EMO button
counterclockwise until it pops
back into position.
2. Press ON (l) on the operator’s
console.
B. Heater loops are not active. Activate the appropriate
heater loop in Fluidmove as
specified in 4.7 Operating Heater
Tooling.
C. Set Point (SP) value is
below Present Value (PV).
Change the SP value within the
Heater Controls Window. For
assistance, refer to the Fluidmove
User Guide or Online Help.
D. Heater fuse is blown
(2 per channel).
Call a trained service technician
to check and, if necessary,
replace the fuse.
E. Heater is not connected to
Conveyor/Heater Controller.
Connect Heater to the
Conveyor/Heater Controller.
F. Temperature sensor is not
connected.
Call a trained service technician
to check connections.
