5.5.2 Vision System
Table 5-4 describes some minor problems related to Vision System operation, offers possible causes,
and suggests some recovery procedures. Refer to 3.6 Vision System for additional information.

Symptom Possible Cause Recovery
1. No Image (Fluidmove
display window is a solid
pink color).
Camera is not connected. Verify Camera cable is securely
connected to the connector on
the top of the Camera.
2. No Image (Fluidmove
display window is dark or
black).
A. Lighting intensity is too low. Increase light level in
Fluidmove.
B. Lighting module is
disconnected.
Restore lighting module
connection.
C. Lens is blocked by foreign
matter.
1. Remove and inspect the
lens.
2. If dirty, call a trained service
technician.
D. Lighting module is not
functioning properly.
Must be replaced. Call a trained
service technician.
3. Unfocused Image. A. Substrate is not within
height focus limits of the
Camera (see Figure 8-2).
Call a trained service technician.
B. Lens is damaged or there is
foreign matter on the lens.
1. Remove and inspect the
lens.
2. If lens is damaged or dirty,
call a trained service
technician.
4. No Lighting. Lighting module is not
connected to power.
Make sure that the lighting
module power cable is securely
connected to the side of the
Dispense Head Controller. See
Figure 4-10 for location.
5. Inaccurate Dispensing after
moving or replacing Camera
or Lighting Module.
Camera-to-Needle offset is
incorrect and Vision System
requires calibration.
1. Recalibrate Camera.
2. Perform a Valve Offsets
routine in Fluidmove. For
assistance, refer to the
Fluidmove User Guide or
Online Help.
6. No display on Monitor
screen.
A. Computer power switch is
OFF.
Turn ON (I) Computer power
switch.
B. Monitor power or video
cable is not connected.
Verify that power and video
cables are securely connected
to the back of the Monitor.
C. Monitor power switch is
OFF.
Turn ON (I) monitor power
switch.
