5-4 Troubleshooting
5.5 Hardware Troubleshooting
Use Table 6-3 through Table 6-10 to determine the possible cause of minor hardware problems, and
follow the recommended recovery procedures to resolve the problem. For problems not addressed in this
subsection, refer to the Troubleshooting section of the Axiom X-1000 Installation and Service Manual or
contact Asymtek Technical Support.
NOTE In this section, the term “Valve Offsets Routine” encompasses Valve Offsets and
Scripted Valve Offsets routines in the Fluidmove software. These routines calibrate the
Camera/Dispensing Needle/ offset. The routine chosen is a matter of preference
depending on convenience and the dispensing process being performed. Refer to the
Fluidmove User Guide or Online Help for additional information.
5.5.1 Overall System
Use Table 5-3 to identify possible solutions to some common dispensing system symptoms.

Symptom Possible Cause Recovery
1. No power to major
system components.
A. The Start button has not been
pressed.
Press ON (l) on the operator’s
console.
B. Main Power Cable is
disconnected.
Check that the Main Power Cable
is connected to an AC source.
C. Main Power Circuit Breaker is
OFF.
Turn ON (l) the Main Power
Circuit Breaker at the rear of the
system.
D. EMO button has been
activated.
1. Remedy the problem causing
the shutdown.
2. Close the hatch.
3. Turn the EMO button
counterclockwise until it
pops out.
4. Press ON (l) on the operator’s
console.
E. Blown fuse in electrical
system.
Call a trained service technician.
2. Air is hissing at the rear
of the system.
A. There is an air leak in the
dispensing system pneumatic
line.
Check for source of leak and seal
leak or replace leaking
component.
B. Leak in facility air supply
hose.
Repair or replace hose.
C. Facility air pressure is too
high.
Adjust facility air pressure.
3. No Air Pressure. A. System is not connected to
facility air supply.
Check the Main Air Inlet at the
rear of the system.
B. Main air regulator is OFF. Verify Main Air Regulator is
set properly.
