3. In the Heater Control Window (Figure 4-12), locate the loop (channel) for the heater to be
operated.

4. Activate the needle heater by double clicking the icon in the On/Off column until the heater
loop icon
turns yellow and red.
NOTE To change heater temperature, double click on the heater loop name. A heater
parameters dialog box will appear.
The heater is operating properly if both of the following are observed:
The Message column displays the message “OK.”
The Present Value (PV) column indicates the heater is heating up to, and stabilizing
at, the set point (SP).
5. If the heater is operating properly, click on
Exit to close the Heater Control Window. If it is
not operating properly, troubleshoot as described in 5.5.5 Fluid Heaters. Call a service
technician if necessary.
