5. Dots are too big Wrong nozzle size Use a smaller nozzle.
Too many shots per dot Decrease the number of shots per dot.
Micro-adjustment open to far; excessive
needle stroke
Decrease the micro-adjust setting to
reduce the needle stroke.
Syringe pressure too high Decrease the syringe pressure.
6. Dots are too small Wrong nozzle size Use a larger nozzle.
Not enough shots per dot Increase number of shots per dot.
Micro-adjustment closed to far;
insufficient needle stroke
Increase the micro-adjust setting to
increase the needle stroke.
Syringe pressure too low Increase the syringe pressure.
7. Dots are not round Dirty nozzle Clean nozzle with a compatible solvent
and Nordson cleaning wire.
Damaged nozzle Replace the nozzle.
Incorrect temperature Refer to Table 2 for set-points.
8. Too many satellites
forming
Dispenser heater temperature too high
Reduce temperature 2 _C at a time.
Dispenser too high from substrate Reduce shooting height.
Dirty nozzle Clean nozzle with a compatible solvent
and Nordson cleaning wire.
9. Dots are too flat Dispenser heater temperature too high
Reduce temperature 2 _C at a time.
Micro-adjustment open to far; excessive
needle stroke
Decrease the micro-adjust setting to
reduce the needle stroke.
10. Dots are too tall Dispenser heater temperature too low
Increase temperature 2 _C at a time.
Micro-adjustment closed to far;
insufficient needle stroke
Increase the micro-adjust setting to
