SK 105E…175E Motor Starter Manual
54 Pre-series version BU 0135 GB-2713
In principle, addressing of an SK 1x5E can be carried out by any commercially available programming
device, as long as the motor starter has a separate supply via the AUX cable, or the AS-i jumper is in
position 1 (see page 52) and the yellow cable is only used to transfer data.
In addition, the following possibilities are listed, as to how the addressing of an SK 1x5E can be practically
implemented with an addressing unit or the yellow AS-i cable is used for data transfer and the supply of the
motor starter.
Method 1
With a normal addressing device
(equipped with an M12 plug for connec-
tion to the AS-i bus) the AS-i can be inte-
grated into the AS-i network via a suitable
access point. The prerequisite for this is
that the AS-i master can be switched off.
Method 2
With an addressing unit (equipped with
an M12 plug for connection to the AS-i
bus and an additional M12 plug for an ex-
ternal power supply), the addressing unit
can be directly connected into the AS-i
cable.
NOTE
If the AS-i
and the starter control unit are supplied separately (yellow and black cable),
battery-operated addressing units are sufficient.
