Assembly Instructions
Mark 1-1/2" on each of the 4" dowels.
Sand the longer portion of each dowel (the end further from
the 1-1/2" mark). Insert each dowel into the drill chuck,
hold out a piece of sandpaper supported by a piece of
wood, and spin the dowel on the sandpaper. The longer end
of each dowel should have a slightly tapered shape to allow
for easier assembly later.
STEP 14: sand dowels
Using a rubber mallet, pound the dowels in so that each one
is ush with the top of the ripped board.
STEP 16: pound dowels into place
Insert the sanded ends of the dowels into the holes drilled
through the ripped portion of each board.

Push all three shelf boards together with their matching
ripped end using the inserted dowels. Once together, drill into
the center dowel of each shelf board.
