Assembly Instructions

Measure 4" from the tip of the 1/2" drill bit with one of the
4" dowels cut earlier. Wrap a small band of tape around the
4" mark on the drill bit to use as a drilling depth indicator.
Drill into each mark made with the screwdriver in Step 7. Stop
drilling when the drill bit reaches the beginning of the tape
attached in the previous step for the proper depth of each hole.
STEP 9: drill
Rip each shelf at 1-1/2" from the drilled ends using a
circular saw.
STEP 11: rip shelves
Number each shelf board with the corresponding ripped
1-1/2" piece to keep track of which boards go together.
Line up the ends of the matched pieces and make a pencil
mark on both ends to indicate where the pieces line up.
STEP 12: mark & number
Using a power sander or sandpaper, sand the side of the
drilled areas and round the edges of each board.
